 I don't know why everyone is so critical.  Obviously, your team is going to be vastly better if you have 6 players on the court while limiting the opposition only has 5.  Personally, i think it isa brilliant strategy with the only down side being if you get caught..

In one of the haltime peewee games recently, one of the teams added a player and nobody sat down.  The eagle-eyed announcers spotted it, but apparently Sara Jo the Ref didn't.  The overmanned team scored at least one basket, maybe two.  I guess it's becoming a GW tradition.

One offshoot of the six players on a floor is the use of the substitution towel by the women's team.  I recall that the men used it for a few games and dropped it, but the women still persist.

The towel thing reminds me of people who would tie a piece of string around a finger because they had to remember something, but couldn't remember what they had to remember.  

the funny thing is, the "6th" player was standing alone, unguarded at the 3 point line.
