Imagine the foul differential in a conference tournament game in Dayton? It will a brutal foul-fest for GW marked with incredible frustration and a non-stop parade to free-throw line for the Flyers.

How did we finish ahead of Charlotte?  Having split the season series what is the next tiebreak?

As per the official site:

GW finishes the regular season at 10-20 overall, 5-11 in the Atlantic 10 and tied with Charlotte (13-16, 5-11) for 11th place in the final league standings. The two teams split the season series, but GW will receive the No. 11 seed to the A-10 Championship by virtue of an 0-1 mark against Xavier (Charlotte went 0-2 vs. Xavier).

That has to be the worst tiebreaker history of the sports.  Either give GW the tiebreaker because our 5 conference wins came against teams who won 30 conference games (to Charlotte's 28), or give it to Charlotte because one of their wins came against a higher ranking team than GW's best conference win (Charlotte beat 9-7 SJU, GW beat 7-9 Richmond (twice) and 7-9 Duquesne).  But giving it to GW because we went 0-1 against Xavier while Charlotte went 0-2 against Xavier is a joke.

Agree, it's a dumb tie-break.  When teams are playing unbalanced schedule, the team with the harder schedule should get the edge.

Are our boys coming back home or are they just going to say in Dayton, Ohio?

 Sucks we got stuck playing in Ohio instead of Philly by virtue of a dumb tiebreaker. I would have made the trip. I guess now I hope that we host a game in some c-list tournament so I can see this group lace it up one more time in person. 

 Are we even eligible? Do the CBI and CIT have standards or is it just whoever will pay? Anyway, not sure we'd even go for it if we had the option. I'm sure the money could be put to better use.

FYI, the game Tuesday is listed as starting at 7pm. I wonder what the tenor of this board will be like at about, say, 9:30pm Tuesday...

I don't know chet. I think most people are set with what they see in this team.

What I have seen is a team that plays a couple guys a lot of minutes who have next to zero offense. That means that we have three guys who get doubled all the time, Given that we are:

1. always 7 points behind;

2. tough on D;

3. fighting hard;

4. impotent from the arc, for the most part;

5. have an above average game in the paint now, considering the amount of attention those guys get.

So... put that all together and most likely, the outcome is a loss. This is a team, however, which can be very dangerous. What if the guards start to hit threes for the first time this season?

My theory is that "Every Dog Has His Day."

What happens if our really good outside game actually became our strength for one game?

I would image the rematch will be a very different game.  Dayton will probably prepare for our 1-3-1 and they will focus on rebounding.  However, they will likely not shoot the ball as well as last time (as Miller predicted, given that last game was their best 3-point shooting game of the season).   Lonergan is already making clear he wants to get it inside, so we will likely see more of trying to feed Dwayne and Pellom, especially since Dwayne was in foul trouble all last game.

How bout an appearance of our all-conference backcourt, in which TT actually runs the offense and gets people involved while Kromah and Mikic spot up for bombs-away from 3.

I see the starting time is 7 pm Tuesday.  Local DC TV coverage?
