FQ and BM, I have to laugh. You guys are so right. Further, you get guys in the program and if the first 15 minutes doesn't go like their wildest dreams, we start hearing transfer. I sense the coaches want to believe that they need only stay in the new 4-year player area, but I think that, especially right now, we should be focusing on people who want to come here and maybe have 2.5 or 2 years left. Once you get above a certain level, especially with former AAU guys (or current) it is going to be a predictable high drama with absolutely no understanding of a goold school match, but just who might have the highest ranking of thsoe chasing.
Reality tells you that the kids in this world don't even consider the education or what they may want to do outside of basketball. Each is thinking NBA. What they fail to get is that schools are lining up to take advantage of them, through their coaches.
You know, I read these posts about recruiting and I get supremely underwhelmed by our civilization.
