Any word here but this is a MAJOR hire with this new stadium. We are going to be the 3rd southernmost school in the conferernce (VCU, UR, with UNC-C leaving)..

There is no reason we should be at the bottom of the A-10 with the likes of Umass & URhigh whose field is covered by snow for 5 months.

We need a coach who can take us to the A-10 tournament and beyond. If LaSalle can do it.............we can to.....Just need a full allottment of funding and scholarships.........You think Randy Levine enjoys 15-38 in baseball?

Finally, did anyone see that Eric Cantrell a 9th round pick 2 years ago was released by KC a few weeks back....Was rocked in low-A ball.

It's a failure when he hires someone who doesn't work out. It's not a failure when he takes his time to find the best candidate for the job. Nero has more than earned a little patience from GW supporters based on his first year performance and successes.

 Maybe Lonergan is convincing Nero to drop the baseball program all together. He didn't have any problem telling everyone how much of a "good move" it was for Vermont to do it...in public...with the people who lost their jobs as a result within earshot of him. Maybe.

How big is high school baseball in Vermont? College baseball?

I know Maine has fielded some good college baseball teams, but only because they were committed to big time travel, and being totally counterintuitive.

What's Vermont's baseball season?  I bet it's not half as long as the maple syrup season.

Finally, is there a level field in Vermont that's suitable for baseball, that's not rock/boulder and tree strewn?
