Take him for the name alone! He'll be our next Middleton or Neil Fingleton.

May well be a project, but for those focusing on publicity, this guy would be a sure thing.

I like a guy who actually has to lift his feet up off the floor to hang on the rim after a dunk--which he does. I like this guy.

In all seriousness, we need a guy who is tall enough to speak with God in Heaven -- since we already have White Jesus and the Chosen One coming in this year.

Bigfan6/20/2014 4:43:21 PM

Don't know how he is on the court against fast-paced competition, though he said he has only been playing basketball a year and a half, which is surprising.

He handled the less than smoothe TMZ interviewer quite well.

TooTall to Fall.

This one has an Embiid feel.

He did well at the University of Florida elite camp last weekend.

One of the great names of the decade.   He's probably got GT confused with GW, but we're full up already.

UCF (10/2014)

The MV10/28/2014 9:35:49 AM

So he had narrowed schools down to a final 8 and chose none of them?

Free Quebec10/28/2014 9:48:57 AM

When UCF comes calling a the last minute, anyone would listen!

I'm sure Billy Donovan knew it was over for the Gators as soon as Donnie Jones started sniffing around.

It would appear that the big hammer is about to fall on UNC......and rightfully so.

Did UCF hire an AAU coach or relative of Tacko Fall?? I don't see any other explanation for him choosing UCF over those other 8 schools

Free Quebec10/28/2014 3:32:27 PM

Thomas, one explanation is that those other schools never really offered but he or his people put those names out there to drum up interest. Remember - much of what we hear about who is interested in a kid or offered, or who the kid likes is complete BS.  Another explanation is that he just really liked the coach at UCF or has a family member or girlfriend there or who knows what.  Another explanation is that he couldn't qualify academically for any of the listed schools.

There are lots of explanations when you start from the presumption that much of what we read on the internet about recruiting is false.

BM10/28/2014 3:43:48 PM

He's lived near Orlando since he came to the US.  Maybe he really likes Disney World.

Mentzinger9/27/2015 7:46:32 PM

Not just recruiting miss, but a 7'6" 300, two-year rival. Excellent.

Not yet eligible. Getting the NCAA runaround.

Front Row Center11/10/2015 3:28:33 PM

Since all engineering students with a 3.6 GPA in high school are clearly gaming the system.

FREE TACKO!!!!

GW Fan11/13/2015 3:51:02 PM

Looks like he was granted a waiver.  UCF plays Davidson on Saturday. Not sure if the game will be available on the A-10 site, but if so we may be able to see how UCF looks against A-10 competition.

ziik11/13/2015 3:54:07 PM

I love the way the NCAA claims an ability to decide the validity of high school courses and degrees.
