Other than the fact that Dooley went to GW I see absolutely no reason to ever hire him. So what if he was an assistant on a national championship team - there are 4 guys who can say that every year. If that was the sole criteria, all the assistants on the previous year's national championship team would be offered jobs the net. My understanding is that there are some questions about Dooley (why he has not gotten another serious HC job offer in 10 years) and I am not going to lay it out here specifically because it would serve absolutely no purpose as he is not currently under consideration for anything related to GW. If and when the time comes, then we can discuss it. He may be a good dude in some eyes but he is NOT a good fit for GW.
Also Mentzinger you made a point above that I want to respond to ... you said GW is too cheap to buyout Hobbs. What would the buyout have cost? I think we need the answer to that before we determine whether GW was too cheap or even if it would have even been a good move to make.
