Really Really like his game think these ranking sites are sleeping on him big time

Yes sir GWB. You are going to like Mezzie. They slept on him because as MOCO Observer told me he was used as a 5-man by one AAU Club. Does he look like a 5-man in that video? It took another organization - Mid Atlantic Select - to use him properly. Kids don't realize that their choice of AAU clubs can make a big difference sometimes not just in the playing time but in the way in which they are utilized. Often clubs put their best 5 on the court which seems logical but not if you have guys playing out of position. Kids are going for the name and the circuit when they really need to understand what is the best option for them and not follow the crowd. Mezzie's experience should be a lesson to those kids who think you have to play for Takeover, DC Premier or DC Blue Devils to get recruited that sometimes the better play is to go with a team that will showcase your talents best even if not on the highest sponsored circuit.
By the way just for reference, the Mid Atlantic Select guys also had Terry Nolan in the one year they merged with another group to form Baltimore United. So it appears that they know what they are doing. I went and checked their website and their kids appear to have very solid college careers for the most part. So hopefully that continues with Terry and Mezzie at GW.

That is indeed an impressive video!
Bo, have you heard anything about Policelli's visit this past weekend?

Not yet Thinker. But have my ear to the ground.

@ Bo Knows there's no way he's a 5! He's a wing who is very skilled, athletic and can score on all 3 levels. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise for us that did happen though so that he slipped through the cracks for some Power 5 schools. We shall see!

That really is an impressive looking highlight reel.

Mezie is a great young man very well spoken & super humble. Yes he's high major talent and for whatever reason high majors missed on him. He should be really good in the A10. GW got good one.

Very nice! Is he a 3 or a 4?
bballwatcher1710/12/2017 5:43:22 AM
He's 3 that can play some as face up 4. He can also defend some SG. Can guard the 2-4. Very high IQ. If the Marcus Littles kid is a legit post player like expected GW should be very good in years to come.

Thanks, BBW17. With Mezie, Littles, and Brown, it looks like we have a lot to be excited about for '18. Verbal Commits (I know, not the be-all and end-all) says that we still have three players in our sites for '18: Frankie Policelli, Souleymane Koureissi (visits this weekend), and Keigan Kerby. This is a question for anyone who knows what's going on, and knows who these kids are - Given our current roster makeup and the other guys who are coming in and becoming eligible in '18, which one of these three guys should be our first choice?
