I agree with Herve -- a back up PG would be our best bet this year unless we can get a stud big guy, which I doubt. My only problem with Poog's suggestion of holding the scholarship is that we may run into the 5/8 rule (assuming it's still a rule) when this year's sophs graduate.

FQ- appreciate the stat and I stand corrected. I guess I am concerned with losing Collucci (who is amongst the league leaders in 3pt% and probably the biggest contributor to the stat) and not back-filling with another shooter. TJ has struggled lately to find his stroke and Elliott hasn't proven to be a consistent perimeter threat. Hall and Pinnock have shown flashes, but their game is more tailored to mid-range and slashing. Lafonte is pass first and not a likely scoring threat. While I do think Lucas will blossom into a fine shooter/scorer, I would like to have another perimeter option just in case. Outside shooting is a lost art in today's college game, and having another outside weapon will make our offense even more unstopable.

Granted we may have our best recruiting coach ever, but history shows that it's really hard to forecast that a high school shooter is going to be able to maintain his pace in college. I think Lucas and Pinnock have so much going for them that you have to give them Collucci's minutes net season (I realize that's only 9 per game, and I'm not denigrating Greg's contributions) and let them prove that they can fill the shooting role net season. If you come up with a player who can bring things we need and he's a great shooter, I have no problem with that, but I think we have greater concerns. A lot of it has to do with whether the coach thinks Greene can contribute net season. If not, I really think we need to bolster the frontline. Pops and Omar picking up 2 fouls each fairly quickly in the first half against avier made me realize how much we could use a big fella to step in.

Regarding JP's wish for a center who is like Pops but a few inches taller and 50 pounds heavier, there is one out there. His name is Shaquille O'Neal and I hear he has committed to the Lakers. But he would have definitely helped at GW.

How about getting a PF/C and a combo guard? Defensively the team needs help down low. Offensively, they could use another TJ like player.

If history is any guide of player movement, KH should be recruiting for multiple spots.
