Nicely done, son of Porter.  Really enjoyed reading it.

Believe or not, I grew up in NY as a... Maryland fan.  I had an aunt from Maryland and that was enough for me to root for them.  I kind of kept rooting for them through my time at college (though not as much as GW), but as soon as GW got good, I realized that I couldn't really have a 2nd team that sucks all the media oxygen away from my alma mater.  I think the famed "Keith Booth game" at the BB&T was the final straw in turning me into a Maryland Hoops hater.  

Ah the Keef Boof game! My warped recollection is Booth scored 55 of MD's 56 points by hitting one FG and 53 FTs. The officials were so bad Booth fouled-out people waiting for a bus outside the arena.

Great job, Herve.  Doesn't Antoine Hart have a game of eligibility he didn't use?  I bet the Syracuse fans still remember him.

Thanks FQ, really glad you enjoyed it.  Didn't want to plug my own article, but hoped it would get some views.  It's funny liking both Syracuse and GW, since I can't really think of two more different programs.

Also, if any of you guys are going to the game and aren't familiar with Syracuse, you NEED to get to Dinosaur BBQ.  Some of the best BBQ is country at what is essentially a biker bar in upstate NY.  You will not be disappointed.
