Ah, how the worm turns. Area's "other teams," most notably Maryland, must root for GW to win A-10 tourney to give them a shot at at-large bids. I'm enjoying this.

believe it or not, most fans of maryland don't hate GW.  they root for them when maryland's not playing well.  there's no real rivalry between GW and maryland.  now if we were talking about georgetown it'd be a different story...

not the Twerp tending bar at T-Coast during today's game.  He wanted Temple to lose because "GW is soooo overrated."  I had to remind him that a GW loss was bad for his wannabe bubble boys who lost to that overrated GW team BEFORE they lost their point guard.

Agreed unsung.  Make no mistake.  I can't stand Gary Williams, but it is the same way I can't stand Bobby Knight, I just don't like him.  It has nothing to do with the fact he is coaching a local team.  When I was an alum working in DC most of my coworkers who went to Maryland supported GW more and new more about the program that did many of the GW "fans" I knew, sadly enough. 

Even this year after we beat them, many people on their board were rooting for us to beat their fellow ACC team in NC.  It's those elitist snobs/cowards (take your pick) on that metro-less hill that should be our biggest crosstown rival.
