what are the predictions for the Mon/Tues games? I think Georgia-GW game will be close and GW will lose by just a few. Ideal situation would be to beat Georgia and then have a good, close loss to Kansas.

I agree. Like Duke, GW has 3 top flight freshman bigs.
I intend to give LSF my life's savings, authorize him to give points, and put it all on GW. (Only up to 4.5 points, though. And I hate those 1/2 points. They are a gimmick)
I look for Ty to go for 30 ppg in that tourney, and I am pretty certain we will be seeing Hart finally hit the 20 point mark.
My guess, Mojo will give every guy a couple minutes against Kansas. Just so they can have the experience. I am hoping to see 4 players hit for double figures, and 10 to end up with some points. I cannot see Williams getting in for more than 5 minutes, though. Same with Mitola.

I predict that sometime in the first half of the game Monday, someone will figure out how many days are left to the Feb 17 Opening Day game at Auburn for ColonialsBall...
I am yet to see anything that indicates this team can hang with Maten and Frazier for 40 mins. UGA is looking to get a top spot in the SEC, not avoid the cellar in the MEAC.

I can't recall ever having such a tough sense of gauging what caliber of team GW is. Coming into the year, because of so much uncertainty and new players. Now, because we can't possibly be as bad as we looked vs, 2 of the 2 worst D1 programs.
Pkgw11/19/2016 10:24:39 AM
I think Georgia wins by 12. We then beat UAB by 3.
In case you missed it Siena hung with Kansas a bit - they were down by 5 with 7 min remaining until Kansas went on a run.

Not sure what you've seen that makes you think Georgia will win by 12. Not saying we light the world on fire but Georgia is not very good. That is just some negative stuff man. For some reason every time we play a team in a major conference people think we will lose.
Ruge0611/19/2016 1:10:38 PM
I think the assumption of loss to "major" conference opponents is a legacy feeling resulting from the KH era. We didn't fare so hot against them in those days sans a fantastic BBT run one year. ML may have erased some of those negative presumptions, but it is hard to shake given I was at GW during that time. Even a bad team from one of those conferences feels a little David vs Golith to me even if rational thought and logic would say otherwise.
Hoping for a win, but managing expectations.

We will win at least one game.
dmvpiranha11/19/2016 1:22:07 PM
Agree with Still Here. The UGA game is winnable. They beat Furman by only 6 at home (last time I checked the Paladins were mediocre at best). I would say UAB would be a close game too considering they beat Pine Bluff by the same margin as we did.

Has less to do with GA and more to do with the way we looked. Our squad the last three years proved middle of pack BCS teams could be beat. This year? Hard to see us doing that the way we played vs Pine Bluff! and UMES!
Is there a much better GW team awaiting to emerge? Sure hope so
