Long Suffering Fan9/17/2016 10:31:16 AM

Believe me Neil, I know how you feel.   Unfortunately, sometimes the right decision is painful.   In the end, the problem was caused by the coaches behavior and not the university's dismissal of him because of this behavior.   As long as the school remains committed to the men's basketball program, as it has been since the hiring of Mike Jarvis 25 years ago, we will be back...but I am not sure how I can handle another stretch like the last few years of KH if that is what we are looing at.

Neil9/17/2016 11:02:50 AM

4 great seats please leave your email.  Good luck GW   I may be back in 5 years.

JB9/17/2016 2:36:37 PM

Neil, go ahead and dont come back in 5 years.

Remember Fort Myer9/17/2016 2:49:40 PM

Shouldn't the season ticket price be discounted?

Rich Maier9/17/2016 2:53:39 PM

LSF +1 your mention of GW's commitment to the team is right on with a new President coming on board. Tough decision for the new Prez with the team's current mess.  It will take time but GW MBB will come back.

Neil9/17/2016 3:59:13 PM

i do not have 5 year time table.  I did that for the last 15 years.

Email you address for my tickets.

Best of luck in 5 years

Neil9/17/2016 4:04:17 PM

Nobody wants to see a looser.  5  years from know is a long time away.  By then GW may even pay back the game to American and have a loss.

I'm not interested in a long term growth stock. GW was that and we went bankrupt.

Neil9/17/2016 5:35:41 PM

It shows nobody is a real fan.  5th row center court 4 seats and no takers.

This is GW problem.  Nobody gives a s$$t.  More nobody cares.  GW  with all alumni is to piss them off and not care.  Ask the 100,000 local alumni that don't give ash$t.

Richmond fan here. I don't want your season tix, because GW sucks. But I can score your GW-UR tix?  I'd love to pack Foggy Bottom with Spiders fan so we can make fun of your interim coach to his face.

NJ Colonial9/17/2016 8:06:40 PM

Neil - I don't understand why you would give up on GW so quickly, especially whe the program and the players need our support now more than ever..  GW Hoops will be fine, we will get another great coach... I say bring Joe Dooley home to Foggy Bottom!

BC9/17/2016 8:19:42 PM

Neil stop acting like such a baby

NYCOLONIAL9/18/2016 9:52:18 AM

Neil, why not just give your tickets away if they are so meaningless to you.  Sheesh.

Not sure what I will do with my tickets and significant donation and long affiliation with university. I am waiting to see what happens next. Not at all happy with current administration and think more heads need to roll in and out of athletics. I am not alone and a group of us will be meeting with senior administration and board members to express this point of view.

NYCOLONIAL9/18/2016 10:09:55 AM

Poster @ 10:07.  Do you stop being an American because you don't like the then-current administration?  Support your school, and work to improve it.

107.77.76.1119/18/2016 10:15:43 AM

NY Colonial that is exactly what we are going to do ... express that further changes are in order.

NYCOLONIAL9/18/2016 10:21:13 AM

@ Poster at 10:15 - that's fine, and desirable, but you only addressed the second part of my comment. You seemed to be suggested that you would withhold financial and perhaps other kinds of support. The two - support and work for improvement - are not mutually exclusive. You can do both. Thanks for your hard work, but please do not take your marbles and go home. We have enough people around here who seem to have lost their own marbles.

NYCOLONIAL9/18/2016 10:24:28 AM

@ Neil at 5:35, it says nothing of the kind. If I needed tickets, you are the last person I would be buying from. I would much rather support the program through the box office than support a foul-mouthed "looser.".

Poster YA9/18/2016 10:44:03 AM

How much are you selling your tix for? I'm always looking to upgrade my season tix. As a young alumni, can't afford much. Are you offering a young alumni discount?

107.77.76.1119/18/2016 10:53:14 AM

NY Colonial support is always conditioned on whether or not one agrees with organization mission and implementation. These are voluntary contributions and right now I have a vote of no confidence in the current athletic department leadership as well as the overall administration. Without significant changes I for one will reconsider. There are others too.

Tickets are still for sale.

I'll call tomorrow and place a hold on my credit card.

Last chance 4 center court seat.

Section 2099/18/2016 6:06:07 PM

If you quit on the program, you're quitting on the players. They didn't do anything wrong. The players deserve fan support.

Tennessee Colonial9/18/2016 6:26:42 PM

Sounds like what an Italian crew would do in time of adversity. Jump ship. Really? We need to stand together in spite of the so called powers that are trying to tear us apart. But this whole situation is bizarre and extremely mental. Hang in there, show displeasure by trying to get the U to be more transparent. I'm distressed because I really don't know enough about what went wrong to make an informed opinion. My coaches use to really let loose on the players; so did Red and Vince L of the Packers. Are coaches not allowed to vent anymore? We're just insider outsiders with others making decisions we seem to have no power over. Ugh!

GWLaw919/18/2016 11:03:11 PM

If ML had suffered a heart attack or a stroke and was incapacitated for the next two years with uncertain prospects or returning to the court, would anyone cancel their season tickets?

This program is not one man, and as much as I enjoyed the Lonergan era, was it as good/exciting as 92-99 under Jarvis? 05-07 under Hobbs? ML caught lightning in a bottle in the NIT this year, and perhaps he was hitting his stride, but make no mistake, as good as Tyler is, this was a rebuilding year after graduating the most talented foursome to play together at GW in some time.

Now is the time to rally around the players, the program, and yes, even the school. Can't we rise above the reputation that we, collectively, earned (justly or unjustly) as students -- a bunch of spoiled brats.

NJ Colonial9/19/2016 10:29:23 AM

Great posts NYC and Sec209!  You are true and loyal Colonials!

Neil9/20/2016 12:49:57 PM

My tickets are still for sale.  Buy them and they your for ever.

It is hard to believe nobody jumped in for seasons tickets from a long time fan with great seats.

Rich Maier9/20/2016 12:57:14 PM

Neil, you need a marketing consultant.

GWLaw91  +1

NYCOLONIAL9/20/2016 1:53:13 PM

Neil, are you serious?   Why would any otherwise interested GW fan buy tickets from somebody who refers to their alma mater as a "piece of shit university"?

Ticket Hungry9/20/2016 3:01:03 PM

Neil: How much?  i might want them.  send me your email address.
